GUYANA UNITED YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION NY (GUYDA) INC; have

provided many scholarships for students in need, based on it's mission statement.

The goal is to assist students as they pursue higher learning opportunities. Guyda is a non-profit organization operating since 2005 and is located in Queens NY.

Listed below are some of the donations/contributions GUYDA have made to various individuals and organizations over the years:

Medical equipment to Guyana
Cricket gears to Gunners Cricket Club
Computers and printer to GRECO Training Center
Computers and Printer to Sophia Literacy Program
40 computers which were distributed to 8 districts (from PAHO)
Sporting gears to Guyana Sports Development Foundation Inc.
Salaries to teachers for after school classes in preparation for CXC examination
Scholarship to students to attend a summer internship program in Washington, DC
Trophies and scholarship funds to Edward “Screw” Richmond Memorial Foundation
Scholarship (tuition and work boots) to 20 youths to attend Essequibo Technical Institute
Salaries for teachers of Communities Arise Literacy Program
Uniforms to the marching band of the Council of Friends of New Amsterdam
Sewing machines and computer to the Diamond Special Needs School
Donations to Gordon’s Literacy program in New Amsterdam
Tuition for a final year student attending Guyana School of Agriculture, Essequibo
Donation to a youth supporter who is now attending college
Donations to Communities Arise Literacy Program
Donation of cash and personal items to members of the GBTI Steel Band, Buxton
Laptop Computer to Abenna Andrews, student of Annandale Secondary School
